first time back to the gym in like two weeks (if not longer). i still haven't gained any weight, and i think i lost another 2 or 3 pounds, but i'll know for sure on the 30th. i swear the 180 calorie grilled cheese has been a life saver :) i've been lucky, i've had a few things working in my favor. ive been able to stop eating stuff right away if it doesn't taste fulfilling. last night i tried to have some cheese puffs and a low fat hot dog and both times i felt like i was going to be sick, so i stopped right away and chugged some pepto. im a little sad that my body appears to be rejecting really fake foods, but i guess its good in the long run. it seems bad but mostly natural foods are still ok with my innards. hooray! if im where i think i am, im just a few weeks away from my first pair of smaller jeans. woo hoo!

I got a $100 christmas bonus from my part time job. it was very unexpected and sicerely appricated. I couldn't decide what to do with it... so i nerded up and gave it away, as it were. my mom insisted on no gifts because i don't have a real job, but i went out today and found her two christmas ornaments. then i got home and was listening to the radio and heard about this group http://soldiersangels.org . i went on and bought a package from my mom, dad, and sister with the rest of my bonus. god knows i needed an eyebrow pencil and since i only use clinque, its a pricey pencil, but i hope my family won't mind a donation in their name. and i hope i don't frighten them with my lack of eyebrows :D

my first big trip Dec. 18th, 2009 @ 10:12 pm

Tuesday im headed to my first auction alone. don't laugh. i've always only gone as an assistant to my boss. this time, i'm going alone, with $71.50 ($65 for buying, $6.50 for the premium). I will hopefully come back with a hutch, a dresser, a leaf drop table, and maybe, if im lucky, a rolltop desk. and i will refinish each piece, paint some, replace hardware and knobs on some, and some just needa a good wipe down. we'll see how sucsessful i am. If i can flip those pieces in any combination of a profit of $120, i can rent a storage space. For a profit of $180, i can hire a helper for a few hours each week to help me pick up the pieces and drop them off at the storage space. we'll see i guess.

the table should bring about $40 on craigslist and would be listed for $65 on etsy.
the hutch should bring about $150 on craigslist and hopefully about $300 on etsy.
the dresser... it really varies. i can't guess until i see it up close
the roll top desk? the labor will be intense. and if the roll doesn't roll, substantially more intense. i'd like to flip it for $350 to $500. from what i can tell, its solid oak. if all the parts move, we're aces. HEAVY aces, but aces.

oh! and here's part of my master plan. on both craigslist and etsy, i'll be offering delivery. NYC and DC, i'll deliver to your door for $100. Baltimore and most of Jersey, $50, and Philly/outer counties, $25. I think some people will take advantage of that. Right?
